About The Wise Bulb
The Wise Bulb is an independent buying-guide site about lighting for garages, workshops and basements.
We write for homeowners who are tired of one dim bulb or a row of flickering tubes. Our goal is simple: help you light the space well, without buying more than you need.
What we cover
Our guides cover LED shop light packs, wraparound and hexagon ceiling lights, high bay lights for tall ceilings, and cordless work lights from DeWalt and Milwaukee.
We also explain the parts that trip people up. That means lumens, light color, plug-in versus hardwired setups, ceiling height, spacing and what to do when a fixture buzzes or quits.
How we work
We read the specs, the manuals and the maker's own details for every light we cover. We also look at what owners often report after a few months with it.

What we are not
We don't make or sell lights, and no brand pays us to rank its products. The Wise Bulb isn't affiliated with Barrina, Hykolity, Sunco, DeWalt, Milwaukee or any other maker.
We don't claim to have tested every light in a garage of our own. When we pick something, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.
We don't give step-by-step wiring instructions. Hardwired fixtures and new circuits belong with a licensed electrician, and every fixture should go up the way its maker's manual says.
